THOUGHTS ON A FRIDAY EVENING.....

This week has flown by, and honestly, I can't even tell you exactly where the days have gone, but already it is Friday night!    I am so thrilled with all of the wonderful response to my October Giveaway,  that I have received from so many wonderful stitchers around the world.  They have shared their sweet sentiments about how their stitching makes such a special difference in their lives.....all of these beautiful threads connecting us all to one another.  The winner will be chosen next Friday, October 28th!

Here is my progress, so far this week, on my SAL, "My Lovely Sewing Tools" from The Gift of Stitching" Mystery Sampler.

I love the rustic taupe threads in this piece.  Aren't those little scissors cute?

Jo , who is one of my SAL friends, posted today on her blog about having a carpet on which almost anything small can get easily lost.  I chuckled when I read her post, because I have a similar problem.....  We have more in common with one another than we would have ever guessed:)
Well, before I lose my needle on this carpet again,  I think that it is time to pick up my stitching again tonight before I head for bed, and take a few more stitches in my SAL or Jenny Bean.  They both need my attention.

Hope that you enjoy this beautiful autumn weekend.  The foliage is jut starting to turn color here, and the air is crisp, cool and supposed to be a little sunny by Sunday.

  5. Beautiful WIP ~ all my favourite things and colours. I have oak wooden floors so lost needles are not too much of a problem but a combination of threads and bunnies ~ mmmm! well that's a bit different!

  8. Lovely SAL,The scissors are cute :)
Our carpet is patterned because with a clumsy person like me it doesn't show up the drinks I have spilled on it. I was worse than the children. Fortunately I do have a Vax carpet washer!!!

  9. I love your Stitching Tools piece so far! The colors are lovely! As for that rug -- lol! I'm lucky in that I don't have a rug like that. Although I would like to have one. :D Pretty! I guess it's not great for losing needles in though.

  11. Your SAL is so pretty! I love stitching designs that have a lot of different motifs in them. I love the colors in your carpet ~ I can certainly see how it would be easy to lose something on it though. :)

  21. Your SAL piece is lovely. I have a carpet that hides things too. I've had to crawl on the floor with a flashlight like a CSI agent looking for a needle. Sorry I'm so behind with reading blogs.

Oh, lovely carepet indeed and I can see how easily you could lose a needle there... I so do not like to lose a needle and rarely do ~ but when it happens it worries me no end until I have found it ~ granted I don't always find it but rejoice when I do! Hope all is well with you this week my dear... Blessings always in stitches...

Consider the Lilies of the Field
"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the Lilies of the Field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these." Matt: 6: 28-29)
