Friendship and Some Time for Tea!

"Yes, we must ever be friends;
And of all who offer you friendship,
Let me be ever the first, the truest, the nearest and dearest."
(Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

One of my most favorite of all pasttimes, is the happiness of sharing a nice pot of tea, and some baked goodies, with one or two special friends.  We share the stories of the day, sometimes full of joy and laughter, and sometimes of grief and sorrow.  But when we part, each of us has experienced the lifting of spirits, and the cherished joy of true and treasured friendship.

Yesterday, I was in a baking mood, and made some cranberry bread and corn muffins, ready for a special friend to drop by for a "pot of tea".  Naughty, naughty, but oh so yummy!

  2. Tea and treats sound wonderful. A friend gave me a bunch of different flavored teas for Christmas and I'm having so much fun trying them all.

  3. Enjoy your tea and sweets! If I lived closer I would be right over.

  4. I share this with you! I love creating a High Tea and having friends over to stitch or quilt also. You can see my last one in December if you look at my handwork blog AllMyScatteringMoments. What a lovely blog you have. I am glad you found mine so I was able to also find yours. I hope to spend time looking back at other posts over the weekend.

    Have a wonderful weekend Kathy Ellen!

Consider the Lilies of the Field

Consider the Lilies of the Field
"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the Lilies of the Field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these." Matt: 6: 28-29)
